What platforms does Furcast run on?
Furcast is a universal app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Now and Forecast widgets work on the Home Screen and Mac desktop, and the Now widget adds iPhone Lock Screen styles. One download covers the Apple platforms, and Furcast Plus is shared through your Apple Account.
Has Furcast shipped yet?
Not yet. The site is being prepared for launch, so App Store links will appear here once the product page is live.
Is Furcast free?
Yes. Current conditions, the 24-hour forecast, a 7-day overview with hourly detail for today, 30 minutes of radar, severe-weather alerts, both widgets, one saved location, and condition-aware themes are included free. Furcast Plus is optional.
What's included in Furcast Plus?
The Furcast Daily morning paper, the full cast of hand-drawn animated characters, days 8–10 with hourly detail for any day, unlimited saved locations, iCloud sync, a full hour of radar history, daily delivery and rain or snow nudges, seasonal normals, and twice-as-frequent weather updates.
Is there a family plan?
Yes. Furcast Plus Family shares every Plus benefit with up to 5 family members through Apple's Family Sharing. Choose monthly, or go annual and save 50% — the annual family plan is only $10 more per year than individual Plus.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. After launch, you can manage them in your Apple ID subscription settings. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Mac, open the App Store, then Account Settings.
Where does the weather data come from?
Forecasts and conditions come from Apple WeatherKit. Radar imagery and U.S. alert data also rely on public National Weather Service sources. Furcast uses a small API to cache weather requests, fetch radar frames, and keep nearby requests efficient.
How does Furcast protect my privacy?
There are no ads, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. For normal weather requests and severe-alert registration, coordinates are rounded to about a 1.1 km grid on your device before they are sent. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
Do weather alerts cost extra?
No. Severe-weather alerts are free for everyone. Furcast Plus adds daily delivery of The Furcast Daily and nudges when rain or snow is about to start or stop.
